Stablecoin's 1:1 fix to a target asset (usually USD) — and its breakage
What is Peg / Depeg?
Stablecoins should trade at exactly $1.00. Depeg = drop below ~$0.98 or rise above $1.02 — usually signals run on issuer reserves (UST May 2022, USDC March 2023, etc.). Whale-monitorable via DEX/CEX swaps.
