Consensus where stakers (not miners) validate blocks
What is Proof of Stake (PoS)?
Validators lock up tokens as collateral; selected to propose blocks proportional to stake. Slashing penalizes malice. Ethereum switched from PoW to PoS in 2022 (the Merge). Used by Solana, Cosmos, Cardano.
